  • Through My Lens | Gulf Shores Beach Day 1

To really savor a World Series trip with your buds – you really have to escape to the beach and have a little fun in the sun. The heat was sweltering on the fields and the kiddos couldn’t wait to get their feet dirty with beach sand, and get out in the water. After our BIG win on Thursday, I couldn’t help but snap some pictures of the kiddos enjoying their lazy afternoon off from ball.

Beach pictures are my favorite pictures to capture. While I don’t go to the beach often it’s one of my favorite places to dream about daily. Alabama has thirty-two miles of cool, white, sandy beaches to be exact.

They are one of the top reasons vacationers come to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach year after year. The turquoise water compliments the beaches and beckons you to go in. Of course, it’s also a great place to go for a walk, be a beach bum and even play a game of beach volleyball. Don’t forget your floaties and just sit back and soak in the sun and unwind. A day at the beach is always a day well spent! Inquire at the Gulf State Park Nature Center to find out the latest nature opportunities held on the beach, too.

They say a picture is worth 1,000 words. When it comes to travel, I’d say it’s worth even more. A photograph can say what I cannot. It can be difficult translating memories and experiences into words for someone who wasn’t there to experience them first hand. I’d like to take you on a journey through a child’s eyes. These are some of my favorites from our travel ball team.
