  • Four Pillars Of The Catholic Church | Ten Things With Newnan

What I’m learning in my Catholic Faith, is what does the Catholic Church actually stand for?  “The Catholic Church stands for the God who is madly in love with you, who even sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to die for you who wants to forgive you and help you in your life, and who, most of all, wants an intimate, personal relationship with you so that you can be with him forever in Heaven”. A more profound love that the world doesn’t offer. The Catholic Faith actually emphasizes the centrality of love more than any other religion, spirituality, or philosophy in the world. Many who grew up Catholic (like myself) doesn’t even see what our Faith stands for, zero understanding how it all fits together, and what different it makes on their lives. Catholic Christianity emphasizes that God actually invites us to participate in his divine love. He wants to transform our hearts, heal, perfect, and elevate our human hearts, changing our minds and hearts, so that we can see as he sees, and love as he loves. Think of all the facets of the Catholic Faith as lights guiding us on the path to personal fulfillment the past that leads us to God, the triune God in, whom alone our hearts find rest. That the fullness of Gods revelation was givenin Jesus Christ and has been passed on to us today though his church. Mostly the one thing that stands out to me is that, not a one plus one, plus one, adding up to equal three, but a one times, one, times one, equals ONE.

The four main pillars of the church:

     Creed
     Sacraments
     Moral Life
     Prayer

I wan to share what Newnan has learned, and how our training is going. Have you ever seen the movie Beethoven?  It’s going kind of like that, and I’m loving every minute of it. Actually, it’s going good.

    1. Newnan knows exactly where to potty.
    2. He has made quite the impression at PetSmart. No joke, he is a celebrity. The other day while getting him groomed, I can’t tell you how many people came up to my son and I wanting to pet, talk, and know more about him. I have had people offer my money and people give me their numbers. It’s been pretty cray, cray! My son actually got a little jealous that no one wanted to know more about our little recuse dog that we had brought with us.
    3. Newnan loves to play catch. We are currently working on handing it over when he returns from retrieving. He thinks it cute by teasing us and wanting us to chase after him with the ball in his mouth.
    4. Newnan now has his own Facebook page, so be sure to check it out Newnan
    5. He absolutely hates being in your lap. He loves to lie on the floor, particularly by the front door on the tile. He lookslike a fur rug.
    6. At night, he lies on his back with his back paws sticking straight out.
    7. Newnan has grown fond of my sons recuse dog, Ryback. He follows him everywhere and lies beside him. The other day, I let them outside and I heard Ryback hollering at me to come in. As I was walking through my kitchen to open the door, Newnan jumps on the back door, as all you could see is Newnan’s big head in the window frame, and I swear he was telling me, “LET US IN, MY LITTLE BUDDY IS COLD”. I couldn’t help but giggle.
    8. When we ride in the jeep, he loves to sit in the back seat with one of his paws on my right shoulder.
    9. His next blogging adventure will be with The Rooted Cypress
    10. Newnan is very excited for Thanksgiving and has a recipe coming out on the blog for all his friends! Stay tuned for that!

    Best Wishes,
    Kacie Carlson
