Happy Friday friends! I’m taking you back to when my mom and I visited my aunt in Dallas, Texas this past Thanksgiving.
I feel in love with this downtown and have been meaning to share it with you on the blog, but never got around to cleaning out my drafts until recently.
McKinney has one of the oldest thriving historic downtowns in Texas. It offers more than 120 unique shops and over two dozen restaurants. If you can think of it, downtown McKinney has it. Art galleries, furniture stores, antiques, gifts, home decor, fashion, everything for your shopping pleasures.
One of my favorite memories of our time together was a winery we went to for afternoon drinks. It was such a lovely time with a band playing outside the patio. And I promise you, we had the best seat in the house for people watching!!
My poor mom was couching at her worst during our adventure through McKinney, but I can’t tell you how much of a trooper she is. She truly is my hero, my inspiration!
We also went to a Pub called, The Pub McKinney. I’m really not much into Pubs because they seem so dark and deluded, but this one wasn’t bad at all. It was rather nice and enjoyed my visit with my mom and my aunt.
We plan to go back in a few weeks to celebrate my mother’s birthday so there are serval restaurants we would like to try this go around.
Like Spoons Cafe and Harvest Seasonal Kitchen. I hope to continue this tradition for many years to come.
