  • Something Worth Your Time

I’ll never forget what my mom told me one afternoon. She said, “Kacie you will see how close you and your dad become after I’m gone”. And like always she was right. We are super close, closer than we ever have been in my entire life. I look at this as another special blessing from God in the midst of heartbreak.  My dad and I now talk everyday sometimes 3 to 4 times a day on the phone like my mom and I use too. We talk about all kind of stuff but mostly about my mom and then those discussions usually end with our Catholic faith. Last night my dad told me that the devil is dancing with no Mass. And it’s true!!

So with life as it is right now and us all taking steps to keep each other safe from a distance, I wanted to share with you what my dad has been doing around his yard and how you can keep your faith in God, even if you can’t attend Mass. One of my favorite things my dad has done is nailing these beautiful Stations of the Cross in the back of his property. He and a few of my family members had these specially made, and they turned out so great! This is one way you can get out of the house and enjoy your alone time, but still find a place to meditate on your faith.  I’m choosing to be thankful for each and every little thing right now, in amongst so much uncertainty.

From sitting with my dad bird watching, talking about the fruit trees he planted, to watching him shovel gravel around his chicken coop, and walking on a freshly new slap that now lays across the back of his yard – we’ve definitely had some wonderful projects to keep our minds busy and our muscles moving!

ill be sharing a lot more soon!

    beet wishes,

    Kacie
