Tip #273 on things to do as a mother/daughter adventure …
Start a blog and shout to the world how much fun it is to get a package in the mail with fun girlie products to try! YES, no mushy post here today!
Several months back one of my favorite discoveries was getting into Glossy Box and FitFabFun. I thought what a fun way to try different products and get samples of some of the best new products out there and that is just what I did. Expect this is how I’m going to share my boxes, not only do I get to share it through blogging for you guys, but I’m also sharing it with my mom. If I don’t like something, I’ll send it her way. If she doesn’t like something, I’ll snatch it up.
FabFitFun – is an online subscription service that lets you have the option to try Fitness products, fabulous products and Fun products. That is the only way I know how to describe this box.
Gold Radiance Luxury Facial Mask with Collagen and Rose Oil – $65.00 … I know $65.00 thank goodness they give you samples in FTF to try.
This mask was so much fun. It made for some really great pictures and HELLO – you have a gold face! (Although, it looks like I have a huge slice of cheese on my face) It was Heavenly and refreshing all at the same time and It definitely brings the facial mask to a whole new level! I feel both my mom and I are moisture freaks, (thanks mom) and we have spent the last few months crying our eyes out causing pre-mature wrinkles, so this was a much-needed time to have some fun and don’t worry, I’ll keep investigating products on how we all can grow old gracefully. For more information on the mask, check out the website to order here:
My mom couldn’t try the mask with me because due to chemo she has to watch everything and anything on breakouts, but my aunt did! It made her laugh and that was a win for me!
The mask made our face feel refreshed as soon as we took it off, but afterwards, I couldn’t tell much of a difference. It left our face a tad on the shimmer side but didn’t give us much of a moisturizer effect.
However, it’s not the mask that I’m obsessing about. It’s a little wireless device that I received in my Fall box this time around called the Hisy Portable Battery Charger for your Smartphone. It retails around 25.00 dollars. Thankfully through FabFitFun, I got this bad boy. It’s super handy if you’re a busy body like myself. From traveling to ball parks to across the country with my mom, I love being able to charge my phone on-the-go and not being connected to the wall!
Details: You no longer have to worry about your smartphone’s battery life! This battery pack includes a USB port for a wall outlet (USB to outlet dock not included). When needed, take the Power Bank battery with you for the day, charge your phone, and when you return home, recharge it for your next day out! Simple as that! There is a LED light indicator to let you know it is fully charged.
It’s only for a one time full battery charge before you have to charger it back again but let me tell you, it’s the best!! It came in extra handy for a 45 hour parade route with my son the other day. (kidding about the 45 hour) but SERIOUSLY DOE…it was a long wait,
TWO THUMBS UP on this great find!
I’m really picky when it comes to lip gloss. I don’t like the feeling of my lips are going to slide right off my face. This Manna Kadar is a lip stain and it’s just the right shade to give your lips a more ‘at the office’ color. It retails around 24.00
Flawless Skin Fluid. I really like this, because it’s way cooler than the gold mask and will last you longer. The great thing about this, is that you can apply it any time during the day. Here is the low down of the moisturizer.
- Smoothes and visually corrects uneven skin tone caused by age spots and hyperpigmentation
- Brightens and gives a youthful look in any light
- Moisturizes and protects against free radicals
- Perfect under makeup or on its own
- Exclusive Alphasomes® technology for targeted delivery of active ingredients
It retails 39.00
Purple Purse – If you keep up with the most popular fashion bloggers, you have seen post on purse charms. I love them. I think they are the cutest accessories. Most of your designers have them from MK to Kate Spade. However, this month is not only breast cancer awareness month but it is also domestic violence month. My heart goes out to anyone who is in an abusive relationship. Most people would say “just leave” but sometimes, it’s easier said then done. So in honor of anyone out there facing this terrible abuse here is to you, as I show my purple purse charm!
Here is the story of survival …
Pilar, an immigrant and mother, suffered for years in an abusive marriage. Her husband restricted her access to money and kept her completely isolated. She was trained as a nurse in Mexico, but her husband did not allow her to get licensed in the U.S., so she could not work.
When she broke free and enrolled in a financial literacy course, Pilar learned how to recover from financial abuse. She used that knowledge and newfound confidence to file for divorce and pursue a nursing degree in the U.S.
1 in 4 women will be a victim of domestic violence in her lifetime.
