Happy Monday lovas 😉
Where did this hurricane Patricia come from!?!? I don’t know about you, but I kind of enjoy bad weather, rainy days and days where the sun hides behind those cloudy rain storms. To me the light drizzle either blows me shopping in the mist of the puddles or blows me straight to bed cuddled up with my little pooch reading a good book. Days like this are my absolute favorite. I brought my dear mother shopping over the weekend as she is feeling better before her 3rd round of chemo. We had such an enjoyable adventure. Let me tell you how it went.
Shopping in Dillard’s for 2.5 hours
Back to Dillard’s for the rest of the day.
Laughing uncontrollable as my mother couldn’t find her purse and turning around in circles like a dog trying to …. well, lets just say turning around in circles until she realized it was still on her shoulder. When she realized it was still on her shoulder, we both looked at each other and had to walk in different directions in order to keep the bladders in tack.
After, leaving the mall –
Kacie pull into McDonalds, lets get us some tea, but let me walk in and get it. I don’t feel like explaining how I want my tea in the drive-threw.
as I’m pulling in, she is still rambling on about the tea – I can’t see me, talking to the screen and saying: yes, I want 1/3 sweet and 1/3 unsweet and then the rest sweet and make sure my ice is filled to the top please.
Seriously, all I could do is beat my steering wheel with my hand as I couldn’t speak with uncontrollable laughter. Looking over as my mom is still laughing saying she needs a depends undergarment. Bless her heart, I love her so much!
I don’t know if the chemo has her a little coo-coo or if that is just how I use to see my mom. Laughing and being with my mom. I believe that laughter is the best positive energy out there in this world. It was so wonderful to see her in that state, as – it has been a very, very, VERY long time hanging out with our tears instead. So this past weekend as the weather blew us shopping, I think it also blew a smile on both of our faces to get out and dance in the rain for once. I remember a few times, as she was looking around, I was just staring at her in that moment. Watching her shop around, moving her little self in between people with her scarf around her head all wrapped up in it. So thank you hurricane Patricia for letting us celebrate the good in you. And above all, thank you to our loving Heavenly Father.
If you are not a lover of shopping in the rain, there is always on line shopping or some good books to snuggle up in. I have enlisted my favorite books so far, l would love to know what your favorite books are too!
