  • Cozy Cuddle Recipe | Comfy Catholic Sweatshirt

Oh boy, Christmas tree farms (tents) steal my heart this time of year. The anticipation of the holiday season is an exciting time for this country enthusiast. To get into the spirit of the holiday season, nothing inspires me more than the sights, sounds, and smells of a Christmas tree. At this time of year, our decorated homes surround us with a special glow of Faith around the tree. Don’t you think so!?

Here is a super recipe to get your house smelling all cozy and Christmasy! Also, for more cozy cuddles scroll down and see a sweet little idea in your comfy sweatshirts and pajamas!

    Winter Smells

    32 oz. of water

    1 orange

    20 oz. pineapple juice (chunks)

    2 bay leaves

    1 ½ tablespoons whole cloves

    2 cinnamon sticks

    Dash nutmeg

    (can add 1 apple-quartered)

Put the 32 oz. of water in pot. Cut the orange in half, squeeze the juice into the pot, then cut rest of orange into pieces and toss in. Then add quartered apple (if use), then pineapple juice, bay leaves, whole cloves, cinnamon sticks, and nutmeg…bring to boil – over medium heat. Boil for about 15 minutes – can reduce heat and continue to boil or remove from heat and allow to come to room temperature.

Makes your house smell heavenly and makes for a wonderful holiday smell. Make extra to send home with your guest or spray bottles with little Christmas ribbon and tags that say, “Wishing You a Cozy Christmas”

With this being said, don’t let your Christmas be too much of a chaotic time. Invite your girlfriends over for an ornament exchange party. Have them all wear their best pajamas. Throw pillows and cozy blankets out as you gather around the tree.

Take in the beauty of the efforts of those who love country as much as you do and bring your ornament exchange outdoors.  Gather around a bound fire with those you hold dear, enjoy the feeling of anticipation that this special season naturally brings and share that sense of excitement in a great cozy and comfortable style.
